WARRP CONCEPTS OF RECOVERY WORKING MEETING WITH SUBJECT MATTER EXPERTS (SMEs)
 
Members of the Framework Writing Team discuss the Denver UASI Regional Recovery Framework

 

(ConRec's). The Framework does not address the response phase of the incident. Each ConRec includes a scope, considerations and policy related issues. The Framework will be applied by the IMT’s as part of the Mile High Challenge in December.

Members of the Framework Writing Team include who are guiding the content of the Denver UASI Regional Recovery Framework include: Scott Field (Denver OEM), Pat Williams (Denver OEM), Carol Small (Jefferson County OEM), Fran Santagata (Douglas County OEM), Rose Lynch (Englewood OEM), Andrea Hoaglin (CDPHE), Mike Chard (Boulder DEM), Armando Argiz (Buckley Air Force Base), Eric Mueller (Buckley Air Force Base), Bob Wold (Colorado DEM), Lori Hodges (Colorado DEM), and Dave Hard (Colorado DEM).

On Sept 29-30, 2011 subject matter experts (SMEs) from across the Denver UASI convened at the Douglass County Fairgrounds to provide input on the all hazards Concepts of Recovery (ConRecs) for the Denver UASI Recovery Framework currently under development. Experts in public health, emergency management, housing, judicial system, waste management, public safety, from local, county, state, federal and military participated in this interactive working meeting.

The ConRecs that were vetted at this working meeting included - Economic Development, Public Messaging, Prioritization of Clean Up, Judicial, Public Health and Medical, Fatality Management, Community Services and Post Disaster Housing, Volunteer and Donation Management, Debris Management, Stabilize and Maintain Infrastructure and Public Safety, Access Control, and Re-entry.

The Denver UASI Regional Recovery framework takes an all hazards approach with WMD annexes to be developed in early 2012. It includes the 3 major phases of recovery, as also outlined in the National Recovery Framework and the functional Concepts of Recovery
